Trusted Rolex Buyers
Fair Prices, Private Evaluations, Same-Day Payments.
PMR buys all Rolex models, including sports references, dress watches, vintage pieces, and everything in between. When you sell your Rolex to PMR, you are selling directly to a buyer who resells to the public. There is no wholesaler, no auction house, and no middleman taking a cut before the money reaches you. That structure allows us to pay more because your watch goes straight from your hands to our retail market.
Our buyers track current Rolex secondary market data by reference. Your offer is based on what your specific model, condition, and configuration is actually trading for, not a generic estimate.
Rolex Models We Buy
PMR purchases all Rolex references. The following are among the most common models we evaluate, with notes on what makes each one distinct from a valuation standpoint. We buy every model on this list regardless of age, condition, or whether you have the original box and papers.
Submariner
The Submariner is one of the most liquid watches in the secondary market. Both the date and no-date versions are consistently in demand. Stainless steel references trade at strong premiums, and certain dial and bezel configurations, particularly older tropical dials and earlier-generation references, carry collector interest beyond standard market value. Unpolished cases and original dials are especially important for Submariner valuation.
Daytona
The Daytona has one of the most active secondary markets of any watch reference in the world. Steel Daytonas have historically traded well above retail. Dial condition and originality are critical. Exotic dials, including Paul Newman variants, can represent significant value, and our buyers know what to look for.
GMT-Master and GMT-Master II
Both single and dual-color bezel versions are purchased. The GMT-Master II has a particularly active collector market around specific bezel color combinations and reference generations. Knowing your reference number matters here. Our buyers will look it up before making an offer.
Datejust and Day-Date
The Datejust is Rolex’s most produced reference and trades across a wide value range depending on metal, dial, bezel configuration, and size. President bracelets, factory diamond dials, and two-tone configurations all affect value differently. Day-Date models in gold or platinum are assessed with metal content factored in alongside secondary market demand.
Explorer and Explorer II
Both Explorer references have steady collector followings. Vintage Explorer references, particularly earlier-generation models, can carry meaningful premiums. The Explorer II is popular with outdoor and tool watch collectors.
Sea-Dweller and Deepsea
The Sea-Dweller and Deepsea are purchased at current secondary market rates. Single Red Sea-Dweller references are among the most actively collected vintage Rolex pieces and should be identified and assessed carefully if you have one.
Yacht-Master and Yacht-Master II
Both references are purchased across all metal configurations. Platinum Yacht-Masters carry additional metal value beyond secondary market pricing.
Vintage Rolex
Pre-1980s Rolex references often require individual assessment based on dial, case, movement, and period. If you have a vintage piece, bring it in. Our buyers have experience evaluating older references that fall outside standard modern market data.

What Drives The Value of Your Rolex
Reference number
The reference number identifies your exact model, case material, dial configuration, and generation. It is the single most important factor in determining secondary market value because it tells us precisely what watch you have. Reference numbers are found on the case between the lugs at the 12 o’clock position after removing the bracelet. If you are not comfortable removing the bracelet yourself, we are happy to do it during your appointment.
Condition and originality
Rolex buyers, and therefore PMR’s offers, place significant weight on originality. An unpolished case with original brushed and polished surfaces is more desirable than a heavily refinished one. Original factory dials, hands, and bezels are preferred over replaced or refinished parts. Aftermarket modifications, added diamonds, or non-original bracelets typically reduce rather than increase value. If your watch has been modified, let us know upfront.
Box and papers
For Rolex specifically, original box and papers, including the warranty card, hang tags, chronometer certificate, and original box, can meaningfully affect the offer. Complete sets command premiums, and certain vintage references with full documentation can be worth considerably more than the watch alone. Bring everything you have. If you no longer have the paperwork, the watch is still evaluated on its own merits.
Service history
A documented service history from an authorized Rolex dealer or recognized watchmaker is a positive signal. It confirms the movement has been properly maintained and that original parts were used during servicing. Undocumented watches are not disqualified, but full service records are noted.
Authenticity
Only genuine Rolex watches are purchased. If you have any uncertainty about whether your watch is authentic, our buyers will assess it. For a detailed guide on what distinguishes a genuine Rolex from a counterfeit, see our post on How to Tell if a Rolex is Authentic.
How to Get the Most When Selling Your Rolex
The decisions you make before walking in can affect what you receive. Our post on How to Sell a Rolex safely and confidently covers the full process in detail, but the key points are:
Do not polish your watch before bringing it in. Original surfaces are more valuable to collectors than refinished ones, and polishing removes metal and permanently softens the case geometry.
Gather everything that came with the watch, including the box, papers, hang tags, service records, and any original receipts. Even partial documentation helps.
Know your reference number if possible. If you do not, we will identify it during the evaluation.
Do not have the watch serviced before selling unless it genuinely needs it. A service does not typically increase the offer enough to justify the cost, and non-factory servicing can reduce value if non-original parts were used.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Box and papers increase the offer on most references, but their absence does not prevent a sale. The watch is evaluated and offered on its own merits. If you have partial documentation, such as just the box or just the card, bring whatever you have.
We identify the reference number, check current secondary market data for that specific reference and configuration, assess condition and originality, and factor in documentation. The offer reflects what your watch is currently trading for in the pre-owned market, not a generic estimate based on brand alone.
In most cases, yes. Heavy polishing removes metal from the case and bracelet and softens the sharp lines that define the watch’s original geometry. Collectors and serious secondary market buyers strongly prefer unpolished examples. If your watch has been polished, that is factored into the offer but is not disqualifying.
Aftermarket dials, added diamonds, non-original bezels, or custom bracelets generally reduce value compared to an unmodified example of the same reference. Disclose modifications upfront so we can assess accurately.
Most single-watch evaluations take 30 to 60 minutes. If you have multiple watches or want to discuss the reference in detail, booking an appointment in advance is recommended.
Payment is made the same day you sell. Available payment methods vary by location and transaction amount. Contact your nearest location for current payment options.
In addition to Rolex, PMR purchases watches from Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Omega, Cartier, Breitling, and approximately 40 other brands. See our luxury watch buying page for the full list.
You are never obligated to accept. If you decline, your items are returned to you immediately. There is no fee for the evaluation.
